The Wave Physiotherapy Hip Replacement Rehabilitation Program is for people waiting for, or who have undergone, Hip Replacement (Anterior Approach) surgery.
The Hip Replacement Rehab Program focuses on essential components of your rehab including: mobility, flexibility, strength, endurance, proprioception, walking, and cardiovascular fitness.
Early rehabilitation focuses on gaining range of motion, normalizing walking patterns and activation of the quadriceps and glute muscles. This program and has been developed by Greg Redman, the owner of Wave Physiotherapy.
Course Content
This program length is 12 weeks in duration. The program begins with a pre-surgery phase until you have hip replacement surgery after which the five post surgical phases begin. In each phase there are specific goals for you to achieve, as well as outcome measures to pass before you move on to the next phase of the program. We highly recommend that you continue to check in with your physiotherapist at the end of each phase of this program to ensure that you are achieving the milestones used to gauge that you are on track for optimal recovery.

Anyone who has undergone, or who is waiting for, Hip Replacement surgery where your surgeon has used the Anterior Approach to completing your hip replacement.

COURSE PhaseS
The course is split into a comprehensive but an easy to follow 12 Week Program, based on 6 phases
- One Phase Pre-Surgery
- Five Phases of Post Surgery rehabilitation.
You will progress step by step through these phases online. Once each phase of the course is completed it will unlock the following phase. Your progress will be tied to your own personal login. You can leave the website and return at any time; your login will remember exactly where you left off allowing you to dive back in.

Each phase of the course has an exclusive PDF to view on your laptop or device. Alternatively, you can print the PDF if you prefer a hard copy. The PDF will contain information about your rehab and physio exercises.
