Martha Sirdevan

BScPT, FCAMT, GunnIMS
Martha is a graduate of Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy. She has over 10 years of experience working with an orthopedic and sport’s injury population. Martha has completed extensive post-graduate training in orthopedics and exercise rehabilitation. She has a Diploma in Advanced Manual and Manipulative Therapy and is also certified to practice Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation.
In addition to being a manual therapist, Martha has a special interest in pre-natal and post-natal fitness and rehabilitation. She is a lecturer with Fit to Deliver and has educated health professionals about pre and post natal fitness and rehabilitation throughout Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom.
Martha loves being a physiotherapist and thrives on complicated cases. She enjoys working together with her clients and other health care professionals to investigate and expose the true cause of her client’s injury. She uses a multi-faceted treatment approach consisting of manual therapy, manipulation, Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) and exercise to achieve the best possible outcome for her clients.
Martha has been an avid runner all her life. At Queens University she competed at the varsity level for Track and Field and X-Country running. Since university, she has completed over a dozen half marathons and 7 marathons, which have included Honolulu, Las Vegas and Boston.

Greg Redman

Greg Redman is a graduate of both Queens University and Simon Fraser University. Greg is a manual therapy and sport physiotherapy expert and has had success with many Olympic champions, weekend warriors and masters athletes. He has been the physiotherapist with the Canadian Olympic team at the Athens, Torino, Beijing Olympic Games, and is preparing for the London Olympics in 2012. Greg is a preferred provider to the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary and Pacific Sport Okanagan. He is also the Head Physiotherapist for Golf Canada and Canoe/ Kayak Canada.
Other than treating sport related injuries Greg specializes in treating both acute and chronic spinal issues. The range of treatment techniques that he has been trained in at the highest postgraduate level include manual therapy, manipulations, spinal stability, functional and sport specific rehabilitation, intramuscular stimulation (IMS) and medicinal acupuncture. Greg has a special interest in developing interesting and innovative exercise programs for sport rehab and core stability. He also specializes in providing sport specific functional assessments aimed at optimizing sport performance and preventing injury.
Greg’s treatment philosophy is that everything happens for a reason; so he searches for the cause of the problem, rather than a temporary fix. Then, together with the patient he uses a range of treatment techniques and specific exercises to restore his or her body to optimal health. Greg was a National team athlete with Canoe/Kayak for nine years and also recently completed Ironman Canada.

Danielle Rodgers

BMR (PT), CEP

Danielle completed her Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation in Physical Therapy at the University of Manitoba and is thrilled to have recently relocated to Kelowna from Winnipeg. Danielle provides high quality rehabilitation to take you from disability to full capability. To help you along your way to recovery, she is certified in acupuncture.

She is a certified Exercise Physiologist with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology. She has been invited nationwide to deliver rehabilitation and fitness services to high performance athletes. She is a learning facilitator for the Coaching Association of Canada for Injury Prevention and Leading Drug Free Sport.

She has successfully used her advanced training in ACL rehabilitation and core stabilization to return athletes to full function in a variety of sports including soccer and football.

Danielle is skilled in the use of high speed video motion analysis. She uses this to aid in diagnosis, as well as to help your technique along, whether that is shaving off strokes on the back nine or getting you to the finish line faster.

Danielle is an avid runner and enjoys both road and mountain biking. She loves open water swimming, as well as scrambling and hiking. Danielle is excited to explore the activity opportunities that Kelowna has to offer.


Eric Wong

BScPT, BScKin, GunnIMS, Medical Acupuncture
Eric is a physiotherapy graduate from the University of Alberta, and has received a diploma in Electro neurophysiology from BCIT. Having a special interest in sports injury rehabilitation, chronic musculoskeletal pain, and headaches originating from the area of the neck/ shoulders, he understands the value of being able to return to sport/competition, work, or play. With a commitment to professional growth, Eric continues to develop and broaden his knowledge and practical skills.  In addition to having extensive post-graduate manual therapy education, a strong therapeutic exercise foundation and approach, he is certified in both Medical Acupuncture and Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS).    His range of treatment skills, the collaboration of his hands-on approach and experience has allowed him to work successfully with a diverse spectrum of clients in a variety of settings.    He strives to become an effective practitioner and aims to empower his patients by providing self-management strategies and achievable goals. In the process of restoring and maintaining optimal structural and functional integrity, Eric believes in the significance of engaging the client and working together towards a common goal and optimal health.

MASSAGE


Sarah Macleod Registered Massage Therapist

Sarah is a graduate from the Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy, and has over 8 years of massage therapy experience. Sarah is a certified, Dr. Vodder trained Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) therapist. She treats lymphedema and other edema issues using MLD and bandaging. Sarah also enjoys working with athletes and has worked at many sporting events and has supported many athletes throughout their training and racing seasons. She is currently working towards obtaining her Sports Massage Therapist (SMT) designation, as well as completing the International Sport Massage Diploma Program. Sarah loves seeing her patients thrive and believes in a proactive and preventative approach to health and healing. She believes in dealing with issues in the body before they become problematic or worsen. She works closely with other health care professionals to round out the medical team involved in obtaining optimal health. Sarah has taken many post-graduate courses on myofascial release, manual lymphatic drainage and muscle energy techniques. She is always striving to further her professional skills and is very interested in the development of new information that is pertinent to massage therapy. Sarah loves being outdoors, and is an avid long distance trail runner, biker, skier and adventure racer. She is always looking for that next challenge and adventure!

Kate Josling

Kate completed her undergraduate studies in Biology at the University of London and recently completed her physiotherapist training at the University of Southampton, UK. Originally from Hampshire, England, Kate loves to tra vel and has spent time studying and working in Spain and Switzerland before arriving in Canada in 2010. Kelowna is the perfect place for her to live as she is passionate about sports and fitness and particularly loves soccer, snowboarding, hiking and yoga. Kate is excited to be supporting the highly skilled physiotherapists at Wave and is looking forward to gaining her own physiotherapy registration in Canada.

Tara Kramer

Tara completed her Ba chelor of Science degree at the University of British Columbia (Okanagan).  She is excited to apply to the Master of Physiotherapy program and is hoping to continue her education next fall. Born and raised in Kelowna, Tara loves Okanagan summers and spending time on the lake. She enjoys running, dirt-biking, hiking, volleyball and many water sports.  Tara has been fascinated with health and fitness, so she is thrilled to have the opportunity to develop her knowledge and experience while working with the Wave Physiotherapy team.
